Preparation:

Make copies of the reading and vocabulary worksheets.

Procedure:

Step 1: Pre-reading

Learners brainstorm aspects of their own culture.

Step 2: Discussion

Learners use the interview questions to discuss the topic of culture.

Step 3: Reading

Learners read the article and answer the questions.

Step 4: Post-reading

Learners discuss the questions with a partner.

Step 5: Vocabulary practice

Learners complete the crossword puzzle (all words in the puzzle come from the reading).
