  • Make one copy of the Conversation Cards, and cut into strips.

Give a Handout to each student.

Explain to the students that there are nine houses, and they need to find out what the people are doing in each house.

Give each student a Conversation Card, and ask the students to write the information on their handout.

Collect the cards back.

Explain to the students that they need to talk to each person in the room to get clues about what the people are doing in each house. Their task is to match the picture of the activity on the handout to the correct house. Explain that there are not any clues for house #3. The last activity remaining on the handout is the activity for house #3.

The student who finishes first and has the correct information is the winner.

Answer: The people in house #3 are listening to the man play the piano.

If there are less than 20 students, then give stronger students two clues. If there are more than 20 students, pair up weaker students to work together.
