Gerund and Infintive

Gerund and Infinitive Form: Gerunds and Infintives are verbs that act like nouns. They follow other verbs or adjectives. 

 

Gerund Form:

verb + verb + ~ing
enjoy   playing 

 

Infinitive Form:

verb + to + verb
need   to call

 

Some verbs are generally followed by a gerund, while others are generally followed by an infinitive. Some verbs can be followed by either, a gerund or an infinitive.
